Considered one of the most explosive players in recent memory, Harvin is capable of breaking a screen pass into a touchdown on any given play. A living, breathing highlight reel. His coach calls him the best player in America. At the University of Florida, he averaged 9.4 yards per carry and 16.1 yards per catch.

At his pro day, Harvin caught every ball, ran extremely well on his routes, and displayed that elite burst out of his stance that makes NFL teams salivate. Great strength-to-weight ratio. His versatility forces opponents to account for his whereabouts on every play. Despite his small stature, he shows the courage to meet larger defenders head on. Very effective in goal-line/short yardage situations.
Shiftier than most athletes his size, but ever since he injured his foot, he tended to resort to jukes instead of using his immense power to bulldoze opponents. Strength is running between the tackles, but he has long arms, giving him a brilliant stiff arm to stun oncoming tacklers when trying to reach the edge. Excellent north/south runner. Statistically a very productive HB in a tough power running conference in college.

Said to be the most complete player of 2009, Aaron Curry is a once in a decade kind of player. Very well could be one of the fastest linebackers in football, very strong, great tackler. Incredible intensity, likens himself to Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis. Has a good feel for coverage and shows soft hands for a man of his size. Proven team leader who earns respect of his peers with his amazing work ethic. Extremely versatile, multi-dimensional player. Great field awareness and good understanding of the game.

Wasn’t asked to rush the passer often enough to develop a pass rush repertoire.

Top 5 talent.

Tends to force throws into tight spaces, but that is due to his supreme confidence in his ability. Needs to work on his touch a bit, yet he excels at throwing deep passes where he can showcase his incredible arm strength. Did a heck of a job in the interview process during the combine. Decent mobility and has better than average pocket awareness. No known character issues. Ideal competitor. Needs to improve his decision-making. Top 10 talent.

One of the nastiest, hardest hitting linebackers in college football. Quarterbacks wet their pants thinking about being hit by Maualuga. Covers the field well, and gives good effort all the time. He shows a passion for the game, and likes to have a good time on and off the field. Doesn’t possess blinding speed or incredible hands, but is very instinctive and punishes the ball carrier. Played his best games against top competition. Of all the players in the first round, Maualuga seems slightly underrated and should enjoy an amazing NFL career.
