In the state where I live, we have been experiencing a heavy drought for several months. The lake water levels are woefully low, and neighborhoods are on watering schedules for lawn maintenance. Most of the grass is so dead that I can hear it crunch beneath my feet as if I was walking on a bed of Captain Crunch berry cereal.
The good news is that we had a short reprieve from the heat and dryness today, when some much needed rain came speeding down to the earth.
Well, just like the coming of rain where I live, the football dry season has officially come to a close this week with the beginning of college training camps. There will be fresh news about our beloved players while they increase their football I.Q’s in film study and practice sessions. And before we know it, September will be upon us, marking the beginning of college football games.
Check back in the next few days, as I am sure there will be some interesting stories surfacing about training camps across the country.
As always,
thanks for coming to my blog!

Good to have you back, Daniel. Looking forward to your future posts.
By the way, the “Daniel” was a very poor attempt at a joke.
The UK hasn’t had much rain this year. All of my crops nearly failed. I hope the grass grows back soon and you can get back to playing on a good surface…
