Aaron Curry Scouting Report

Said to be the most complete player of 2009, Aaron Curry is a once in a decade kind of player. Very well could be one of the fastest linebackers in football, very strong, great tackler. Incredible intensity, likens himself to Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis. Has a good feel for coverage and shows soft hands for a man of his size. Proven team leader who earns respect of his peers with his amazing work ethic. Extremely versatile, multi-dimensional player. Great field awareness and good understanding of the game.

Wasn’t asked to rush the passer often enough to develop a pass rush repertoire.

Top 5 talent.

  1. The Ghostwriter says:

Seems like a solid guy both on and off the field. He actually looked a lot more at ease than she did in that interview. Do you see him having more success in the NFL as an inside or outside ‘backer?

  2. David says:

He is a classy guy. Ive been reading stories about him and he comes from a very very poor family. He wants to earn money to support his mother and stuff. Its hard not to root for him.

Regarding your question, I know he is more used to MLB, but he is so versatile and his skills translate so well to any LB position that he could have great success at either one.
Basically, if comes down to the need of the team that drafts him. But if I had to conjecture, he has more upside at MLB.
